Re: Folk Workshop AAR 7th Oct - All About the Hummer
Yup, that's arguable. Though Chernarus' non enterable buildings remove one important thing from MOUT, and that is verticality. If no random soldier has spawned on a rooftop (yeah. You know what I mean), there's almost no chance you're going to get shot at from a second floor window. Yet that's, in m...

Re: Folk Workshop AAR 7th Oct - All About the Hummer
I'd have to disagree on one point: room clearing has no more standard SOP than street crossing. Depends if you're on a split stack or not, and the first man to go in decides if he goes for a hook or a cross. But I don't think all this matters much in Arma, as whenever you get into buildings you're b...

Re: Server mods
Well, i guess it's time for me to raise this topic from the dead: now we do have CBA running server side! And I hope it stays this way. Members of the Party, I'm even ready to slip my (party-issued) ballot in the box, whatever that means. Anyway, the question is now: are we allowed, as mission maker...

Man I laughed so hard when we were all chilling, waiting for the two other squads to get their shit together, and I could hear Fer "I don't care, just gimme my fucking ammo, right now".
Party logistics, baby.

Re: Multi-audio recording in FRAPS
Well, i guess it depends on your setup, but on mine, pressing Alt twice will toggle freelook, and pressing Shift twice will toggle running.
So if I use those keys for anything else, it'll still toggle those. I guess you'd have to change those keybindings.

Re: Folk Workshops
Yeah well. Let's not practice too much. We might end up actually being effective. Now, we wouldn't want that, would we.
Seriously, that's all good news, and thanks again, Tiger, for taking the time to organize all that!

Into the sea Alpha 2 FTL ASL - Ferrard Carson A2 FTL - Black Mamba A2 AR - AI A2 AAR - daf A2 RAT - Joseph/Sulphur Things started pretty well with my virtual alter-ego brutally hit by some fear of heights when it came to dismounting from the truck. As a result i got stuck standing in the back of th...

Re: [Sun] 07 Oct 2012 (Debut of ASR AI)
I'll probably have a more detailed AAR to go, but a few points: - Tonight's session was a really, really, nice one. - I'm so happy ASR_AI finally comes in FOLK/ARPS sessions. - Tiger's workshop (during which my connection didn't go fubar this time) was awesome. - Wolf's mission was, as predicted, aw...

Re: Commander's Critique
Just so we're clear here, when i said "a plan that might be flawed" , i was absolutely not talking about your plan here, Bodge. Nor any commander's plan whatsoever, by the way. What i meant is, let's say, we're playing, see, one of Wolf's missions, the plan has every chance to go right upside down t...
