You can't make a thread like this and not include the all-time favourite Wafflynumber's "The Empire" speech.
Also, from the same man: "Oh, I alt-tabbed, oh my God" after whacking three friendlies point blank.
Both can be found in SuperU's 2012 in review.

Re: [Sun] 16 Aug (Its raining choppers)
Um, I don't remember placing any snipers down in that mission. Could you have mistaken 7.62 rahim rounds for sniper fire as that's not normally what you're getting shot at with? Well, yeah, probably 7.62. I called this sniper fire because of the pattern: single spaced shots coming from what appeare...

Well, it had been a long time... and, even in the age of the unprobable ugly-looking future, FA is still the nicest place around to play! I also have to admit that bipods and AI suppression make for a very nice coop experience. Helljumpers B1 AR I liked the mission. Sure, it had a few low-activity m...

Re: Odd launchers or secondary weapons
As far as I know, it'not possible to have a rifle appear in a launcher slot without actual config changes (i.e moddding). That being said a more-or-less clunky but functional scripted solution is definitely possible. After all, it was already used in Xeno's domination back in Arma 2, and some old Fo...

Re: [Sun] 12 Jul 2015 (Ghost Hawk Down, Sunny Side Up)
Does anyone know what defeats lock from ATGMs in Arma? Is just smoke enough? From my recent experience toying around with Arma 3, nothing. Smoke is actually useless once the missile is fired, but you can *sometimes* prevent the launch itself if you pop smoke beforehand (which is next to impossible,...

Re: Group buy - Ed tracker
Fer, you should be able to power your TrackClip from a portable unit if you want to, since it has its own USB cable. I've seen a number of people use USB chargers (such as this ), then sticking them to their headset. You could even go as far as cutting a bit into the TrackClip's power supply cable t...

Re: Zeus Missions
I had a quick chat with Wolf a few days ago, and he made me consider maybe giving A3 another go sometime. Funny enough, it turns out this resulted in me thinking about how I could create a decent Zeus mission. After all, this is a pet peeve of mine, as back in the old days of A2, I was already tryin...

Re: IL-2 newbie
About taxiing, you usually want to use your toe breaks, not the rudder itself: the rudder makes a lot of the "Tokyo drift" stuff happens. About take-off, as boberro said, drop a few notches of flaps. I don't know what plane you fly there, but you might want to push the nose down a tad too to gain sp...

Re: IL-2 newbie
Disclaimer: I haven't flown the original IL-2s in ages, so I might be a bit outdated here. First thing first, if you haven't done so already, take some time to properly set up your joystick. Usually good controls settings make a huge difference, and you go from struggling to keep your crate in the a...
