Re: Clientside addons compatible with FA

Crosstalk is a neat plugin which puts speakers in differnet places (part left ear, part right ear, etc.) when people are talking at the same time. It also lowers the volume of your channel when someone is whispering to you, and puts it in your right or left ear (customizable). It's a more enhanced ...

AI performance hit workaround: puppeteering?

Hello, Last night, on "Science Saturday" (we need an AAR forum for Arma 3), there were huge noticable hits on the server when there was AI present, due to the Arma 3 alpha currently not supporting dedicated servers. This lead to some very strange behaviour (Everyone died without any glory all of a s...

Indeed. THe dev branch has been known to spawn everyone in multiplayer as seagulls. Not recommended :).

Re: [Tue] 12 March 2013 (We died, alot)

Clergymen Bravo Squad Leader on Defenders, but due to budget issues, I had only one fireteam under my command. So instead, I acted as a forward observer, letting Caperitious take command of Bravo instead. I was walking around the east of the village, and eventually met up with SuperU once the firefi...

A develish approach to more skirmishing in assault missions.

Last tuesday, we played UNnecesary violence, which was explained to me as a reverse finale. I didn't really consider it a reverse finale, as it lacked the AAAAGH WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE alongside with epic music feel Finale had. It also was very, very slow paced (even in relative arma terms). Now, off-...

Re: [Tue] 05 March 2013 (Its my first time be gentle)

Doesn't the BMP have zoom? I thought that could have been used to take out the SPG haunting us and stalling us for so long. Alternatively, agressive flanking around hilltops could have been used as well. Forget about formations, if in doubt, glorious charge is always the most fun option :P. BUt do n...

Re: So, comrade, you'd like to be CO? Excellent!

And, if all else fails, headshot someone with a 40mm grenade. That always works wonders. As someone who almost never leads a mission, I suggest you start with an adverserial mission. This may sound rather weird, but adverserial missions in folk are usually simpler. The main problem for me with leadi...

Re: [Sun] 05 August 2012 (Folk is 2)

This was my first folk sesion in a long itme, and also the first folk session on my brand new computer. Highway: Charlie SL: Draakon (AGAIN!) Charlie 3: Grizzly - AT Fer - AR. I was a little late on this mission, so I ended up in the last fireteam with Fer as the AR. We were paired with Charlie 2, i...

Re: [Sun] 29 January 2012 (with LDDK and CiA)

Although the mission setup in itself was quite cool IMO - although I didn't get to do any shooting :P. Its weird: All the big co op missions we had so far, all three of them, ends up with me either driving stuff or manning a mortar. And distinctly not shooting anyone (I have died more then I actuall...
