YES LET'S DO THIS
You know, it really was a tremendous amount of fun, even if only in an afterparty sort of way...

I think the video's been garbled (I am rapidly rethinking using MSI afterburner to record video)
Afterburner can be a bit tricky to adjust - I'll detail the settings I'm using when I get some more time.

If you have settings that get it to use a different container type, or to record in some form that isn't garbled beyond repair when Arma crashes, then yes please. That's the second time I've lost video to an Arma crash, and that shouldn't happen given that MSI is still running even after Arma crashes.

The video I recorded from the second session(infiltration) is fine, although 1.83 gig' big. Want me to compress it? I use Bender 3D as my poison of choice when it comes to video editing, I dont know if our youtube overlord has preferred export settings?

Note that my upload is crap although I recently uploaded a 50Mb video in about 30 minutes to youtube so that's ok'ish.

Meanwhile, here is a GIF if me meeting Bigfoot if I recall correctly, a true Romeo and Juliet story, divided by death and lead everywhere.

Critical self evaluation mode: I think I need to improve my squad comms - I didn't follow that "ASL, Alpha 2 - bla bla bla" format, but was more informal, "NetKev, what should Alpha 2 do next?" or "Alpha 2 is at the T3 marker".
There are no radio protocols in FA, so you did nothing wrong. From experience, it is easier for me to address people by their role, I don't know why, but it's just the way it is and I do that. Also, when you are staring at the map and planning where to go, you see your 3 FT markers and just say: ''A1 go there, A2 there and A3 there''
The rest is up to the fireteam leaders to micro their guys as they want, as a SL I am more concerned about keeping the 3 teams together and working as a unit.

10/10. My PoV is coming soon. (Rendering out of Premiere right now.) This post will get edited once the video is on YouTube, meanwhile, here is a teaser: http://imgur.com/a/N254O
Also, when Ferrard called out a clear LZ on mailman, I knew things were going to go to shit. :clint:

Let's be clear here: I told everyone the LZ was clear. I ain't said nothin' 'bout the sky now, did I?

To be fair, the LZ was clear when we flew over it.

The hundred soldiers, two tanks and an entire air wing from the no-fucks-to-give kamikaze brigade were all at least 300m to the west of the LZ...

A pretty good evening this, completely madcap at the end and I'm only annoyed that MSI ate my footage of Mailman, that pilot's eye view of the hellcat flying through the cockpit windshield was something awesome :D

But I did get Tigershark's Got Talent right at the start :P

Low Tide
Charlie Medic, sole member of Charlie squad

I only barely made it in by the skin of my teeth and got slotted in as a medic in Charlie squad, so I was a bit of a loose end here. But that was cool, it meant I had a gun and no real responsibilities :D I hung out with CO initially watching Aquarius pass his Halfords entrance exam with flying colours, spotted an enemy patrol to our north as we moved from T2 to T3, and helped kill them all, kept pushing up and suddenly discovered I was in front of everyone else and there were lots of loud noises up ahead. So I hid in a bush while CO used me as a map reference. Then I joined up with Alpha and ran up behind the assault on the final base while throwing all the smoke grenades, waiting for someone to fall over so I could break out the medkit, but nobody did. After we took the base, Alpha 2 (who'd been covering) called in that they were all down and I started to leg it to their position but the mission was called before I even got out of the compound.

Cordon BLU
Alpha 1 FTL with Madrak (AR), Bormanov (AAR) and LittleBigfoot (Mine specialist)

An interesting run, this. Started out by discovering that my in-game VOIP wasn't working (and hadn't been for the last mission either, which explained a few things). Don't know why. Have an idea it might have something to do with having installed equaliser APO (to improve my sound quality), but I don't know yet for sure. Once I'd reissued the initial plan to the guys by sidechat (hooray for being able to touchtype), red team legged it to go garrison A1 and I followed bigfoot as he went to plant his mines. That done, we pulled back to join red team at A1 and await the arrival of our targets.

Who showed up a few minutes later, and got engaged by bravo about 100m from our position. That close to us, I thought we should move up and maybe we could catch them in the crossfire with Bravo; but ASL thought we were too far out of position so we disengaged and pulled back and waited for CSAT again. We didn't have to wait too long. Three or four of them crossed in front of me and walked right into Madrak's AR and bigfoot's rifle, bormanov opened up on them as well and I started to give my UGL a workout. Two CSAT were left, and came up on us from the west. One got my spleen, though I went down shooting at him, and bormonov finished the job and that was victory!

Mailman
TH1 Pilot with Ferrard (Crew Chief)

See earlier post about the LZ fun...

There's not a lot else I can say about the mission outside of that - it was awesomesauce, I loved flying it, I wish I'd not overshot the LZ, I wish Netkev was just a little less evil.

I will say, watching the rest of you guys being slaughtered by the entire first mechanised brigade with supporting elements from the no-fucks-to-give kamikaze rocket attack helicopter wing was fairly entertaining for the rest of us :D But maybe next time we run this, having just one helo is a possible weakness that's kindof too much for the commander to overcome in the field until BI finally listen to my feature requests and put in a GTA button so we can hijack enemy vehicles more easily...

Inter IV
Bulletsponge, with other sponges

The plan was a simple fast adversarial with M14s from the new DLC.
The reality was Netkev hitting the wrong button and us being dropped into the game while he was kicked off the server. No M14s to be seen. So we shot at things randomly for a few seconds, and then Netkev announced the new complex rules - everyone teleport to town, last man standing wins. We teleported to town immediately, and then my own team shot me immediately. I wasn't sure if that was a critique of my piloting in the last mission :D Eagle got me back up and then the other team teleported in and started shooting at us. I legged it towards cover, discovered I'd legged it towards the cover the other team had taken inside a building, chucked a grenade in there with them, but they shot me and got out of the building before my grenade could do them harm. Darn. The rest of the mission took about 14.2 seconds :D

Little Birdies (after-party)
Pilot, with all the other pilots

AWESOMESAUCE! :D

Littlefoot led us out on the first mission, collective in one hand, bottle of whiskey in the other, his chalk hanging on to the skids while praying to their respective deities and wondering if their helo attachment straps were up to proper spec, and we booked it south at low level having far too much fun. Then netkev announced that "he had an idea" and that "nothing would go wrong" and "he would never do anything bad" and then he became Zeus. We'd been on the last mission, so we paniced (me, I was immediately wondering if it'd be a Tigris or a Buzzard he was about to spawn in) :D

Then we landed and Netkev became Oprah. Everyone gets a helicopter!

And we all grabbed an AH-9 each and legged it south to go hunting the convoy. But we were too late because of the logistics, and they got away. We were sad :(

Then we did it all again, but everyone got AH-9s at the start :D

What does a field of AH-9s look like spinning up and lifting?
AWESOMESAUCEOVERLOAD :D

We all headed south like a vengeful flock of pigeons, and searched for the convoy, which we caught up with near the airfield, and then we obliterated them and half the town they hid in with rockets and guns... and then we decided to keep going and we obliterated almost all of NATO's QRF, the town they were in, most of the power lines in the area (using our melee weapons) and somehow managed to lose all but two of our fleet of attack helos in the meantime. Lots of NOE rocket runs, high-g turns, high-speed low-altitude high-pucker-factor flying was had by all :D

We should make this an official messing-about afterparty mission configuration :D

Ha-ha, just saw the spectator map from bigfoot and realised that blip2 and us friendly-fired each other at the end of cordon Blu :D

Also, **** me bigfoot, but 60fps at full native resolution with all the trimmings is gosh-darn impressive...
