Today's exercises were attended by 34 of our closest comrades, and definitely no imposters.

Things started with a heavily contested landing on the shores of Malden. Two squads approached by boat, landing under heavy machine gun and mortar fire, and ran up the beach to assault an entrenched bunker complex, and eventually destroyed the SAM installations just inland. With the exception of a few unfortunate mortars, the assault went well, and CSAT's grip on Malden was weakened.

Making use of the new opening in CSAT's anti-air coverage, the group moved on the assault the airbase on the island. Bringing two fresh squads, along with the crew for a couple IFVs to be dropped off, we aimed to drive CSAT off the island. The operation went a little rockier than the last, due primarily to some very accurate mortar fire disrupting early planning, then an unexpected flank causing heavy casualties among one of the squads, but ultimately another great success.

Lastly, we made our way back to Altis to track down and destroy a few weapon caches from rebel hold-outs. Despite some extremely danger-close mortar support, a (impressively) flipped panther, and the early loss of the commander, the arrival of a proper tank to help out was able to force this mission into yet another success.

Then we all shot each other and had fun.
